From January 19 through February 18, 2026, the Hautrage Biogas project is subject to a public review as part of its application for a Class 1 integrated permit. This is the most comprehensive and strictly regulated procedure in Wallonia, covering both environmental and urban planning aspects.
The complete dossier, including an Environmental Impact Assessment conducted by an independent firm, is available for review at the municipal offices of Saint-Ghislain and Bernissart.
While the public review is underway, CIP reaffirms its commitment to transparency and presented a finalized version of its project during two information sessions for local residents.
These sessions took place on February 3 and 4 at the Maison villageoise in Hautrage, where many local residents had the opportunity to get an overview of the project’s progress and ask questions of the project developers.
