Biogas Hautrage is the first project in Wallonia to benefit from Fast Track status, a procedure designed to facilitate the implementation of strategic projects for the energy transition. Located in Hautrage, in the municipality of Saint-Ghislain, this future industrial biomethanization unit aims to transform livestock effluents and organic waste into green renewable gas.
The project is part of Wallonia's strategy to develop renewable energies and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As a "Fast Track" project, it could serve as a model for other similar initiatives, contributing to the achievement of regional and European climate objectives.
